Cape Town is undoubtedly among the most beautiful cities in the world. The metropolis at Africa's southern cape, picturesquely situated at the foot of the towering Table Mountain, was founded in 1652 by the Dutch and is, therefore, called South Africa's "Mother City".

Cape Town is embraced by two oceans, the Atlantic and the mild Indian Ocean, and is surrounded by paradisical landscapes with a unique vegetation, imposing mountains and numerous stunning beaches, on the Cape Peninsula, at the warm False Bay and at the West Coast.

Cape Town boasts outstanding attractions like the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Cableway, Company's Garden, the Bo Kaap, the Castle of Good Hope, Signal Hill, a number of museums and theatres, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, innumeralble gourmet restaurants and many diverse sporting and leisure facilities. Particularly popular are the surrounding Cape Winelands with their mild climate and beautiful Cape Dutch houses, especially in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. More than 700 wine estates produce wine of world standard.
